The World AIGC Association launches at AltNext Shanghai
A new international body for AI-generated content steps onto the stage — unveiled at AltNext Shanghai 2026, alongside its founding strategic partner.
AI-generated content has arrived faster than the rules to guide it. Across film, music, art, and games, a new medium is already reshaping how work is made — yet creators have worked without recognition, audiences without trust, and the field without a shared standard.
At AltNext Shanghai 2026, the World AIGC Association was unveiled to change that: an international, Geneva-based body created to give AI-generated content the ethics, recognition, and sense of belonging that every serious discipline relies on.
Why launch at AltNext
AltNext brings together the people building what comes next in creative technology. It was the natural place to introduce an association that exists for exactly that community — and to announce the birth of its institutional network, beginning with its founding strategic partner.
What the association sets out to do
The association's work rests on three mandates:
- Govern & standardize — industry standards, ethical guidelines, and best practices for AIGC across disciplines.
- Connect & empower — a global professional network, with free and open membership for creators.
- Recognize & celebrate — the World AIGC Awards, a premier global recognition for excellence in the medium.
What comes next
From Shanghai, the road leads to Geneva. The association will bring AI-generated content to the world stage at the WSIS Forum 2026, and will open submissions for the inaugural World AIGC Awards in the months ahead. Creator membership is open and free, worldwide, from day one.
